Starting mental health care should be clear, straightforward, and structured.

This page walks you through what to expect—from your first step to ongoing care.

Getting Started

  1. Call our office at (540) 300-1091
  2. We will help schedule your initial evaluation
  3. You will receive intake forms to complete before your visit

Visits are primarily conducted via telehealth, with in-person appointments available when appropriate.

We do not maintain a waitlist. In many cases, patients can be scheduled the same day or next day when availability allows.

Before Your First Appointment

You will receive a short set of intake forms to complete prior to your visit.

These forms help us:

  • Understand your symptoms and history
  • Prepare for a focused, efficient evaluation
  • Ensure your visit is productive from the start

You may also review sample forms on this site. These are provided for transparency—your actual intake paperwork will be shorter and completed electronically.

Your Initial Evaluation

Your first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation (45–60 minutes).

This includes:

  • Review of your current concerns and symptoms
  • Detailed history (mental health, medical, and treatment history)
  • Diagnostic assessment
  • Discussion of diagnosis and treatment options

Our goal is to provide clarity—not just symptom management.

Follow-Up Visits

Follow-up appointments are typically 20–30 minutes.

These visits focus on:

  • Monitoring treatment response
  • Medication management
  • Adjustments to your care plan as needed

Treatment and Ongoing Care

If treatment is recommended, this may include:

  • Medication management
  • Supportive therapy
  • Ongoing monitoring and follow-up visits

Care is structured and individualized, with adjustments made based on your response to treatment.

Fees and Insurance

We accept most major insurance plans. Please call our office to confirm coverage and benefits.

For patients choosing self-pay:

  • Initial evaluation: $250
  • Follow-up visits: $125

What Makes Our Approach Different

  • Structured, thorough evaluations
  • Focus on diagnostic clarity
  • Evidence-based treatment
  • Clear communication at every step
  • Consistent follow-up and monitoring

You will always know what is being treated and why.

Forms and Policies

We provide access to our practice policies and consent forms so you can review them in advance.

These documents:

  • Explain your rights and responsibilities
  • Outline treatment and privacy policies
  • Describe billing and practice expectations

You are not required to download or submit these forms unless instructed. A streamlined version will be completed during intake.
